Eve Lemesle

Founder and Director

Eve Lemesle has been working in the arts sector for 18 years in India, Europe and Canada. She is a graduate of La Sorbonne in arts management and holds a diploma in South-Asia studies from INALCO (Paris). After several visits to India starting in 2003, she settled in Mumbai in 2009 and started What About Art (WAA), a first-of-its-kind arts management agency in India.

WAA produces ambitious art projects within the growing South-Asian art scene. Among recent projects are production of the India-Pakistan pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale, Dhaka Art Summit in Bangladesh, William Kentridge’s solo exhibition in Mumbai, multiple projects at the Kochi Biennale. Lemesle is a Consultant for Qatar Museum Authority, and she is a researcher at the Institute of Public Art, University of Shanghai.

Geetanjali Sayal

Project Manager

Geetanjali is an Architect with an MA in Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins, London. She received the Knight Frank Award for her masters project in the course as part of the Spatial Design Programme. Post the completion of her studies, she gained experience in the field of Arts Production and Management working with Artichoke in London on some of their large scale projects in the UK and at the Serendipity Arts Foundation in India on their festival re-imagining selected historical venues in Panjim as cultural spaces. 

In 2020, she initiated a research and documentation project on Delhi’s undervalued Art Deco heritage as an alternative lens to view Delhi’s architectural history, which was awarded the Arts Research grant in 2021 by India Foundation for the Arts.

Currently, she works as a Project Manager at What About Art supporting the team with project managing, producing exhibition drawings and overseeing the installation of various exhibitions in Mumbai.

Raashi Divecha

Programmes Manager

Raashi Divecha is the Programmes Manager at WAA. Her journey is an intersection of art, design, and fashion, and it began with the completion of her master’s degree in Media Studies from New York. Her passion for art led her to embark on a captivating career with WAA, where she has flourished as an Arts Manager before transitioning into becoming the Programmes Manager.  At WAA she has gained extensive experience in managing and running an artist residency and handling production work for exhibitions. 

Beyond her role, Raashi has donned multiple hats, showcasing her versatility as a graphic designer, content writer, and adept social media manager. Her career is a testament to her dedication and proficiency in the creative sphere.

Raashi’s insatiable curiosity extends beyond her professional pursuits. She thrives on continuous learning, exploring the depths of art, immersing herself in diverse cultures and forging meaningful connections.
